How are you investing your time?
Time is a scarce resource. In my earlier years I always believed money was the scarcest of resources and the resource most worthy of my time.
Reality is that you and I have several life currencies, resources from our physical and mental health to our finances, assets, experiences, relationships and time.
The average 40 hour employee will invest over 20,000 hours at work over a period of 10 years, 40,000 in 20 years and 60,000 in 30 years. And for entrepreneurs and workaholics these numbers soar to 30,000 hours invested in 10 years, 60,000 in 20 years and 90,000 hours in 30.
Pull up your calendar. Look at your schedule. What are you investing your time in? Is it congruent with what you most value and believe in? Is your calendar aligned with who you want to be? What you believe in? Your priorities? What you want?
Time- I had it all wrong. It is the most precious of resources and how I invest it – is LIFE!
